SAWACO will temporarily suspend water supply to fix a leak on the Cho Lon pipeline at the intersection of Cho Lon Street and Street No. 5 in Binh Phu Ward.
The repair is scheduled to finish by 10:00 pm on Tuesday next week.
The disruption will affect multiple wards supplied by SAWACO’s Cho Lon Water Supply JSC, including Phu Dinh, Binh Phu, Phu Lam, An Lac (particularly the Akari City apartment complex), Tan Tao, and Binh Dong, home to the Binh Dien wholesale agricultural market.
Other affected areas include the outlying communes of Binh Hung, Hung Long, Binh Chanh, and Tan Nhut; sections of Nha Be Commune and Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park; and Can Gio.
On account of the network’s structure, water restoration in distant areas may take longer than the scheduled completion time.
SAWACO has instructed its subsidiaries to adjust the distribution system to minimize interruptions and will deploy water tankers to critical locations.
The company pledged to complete repairs as quickly as possible and asked residents for understanding during the disruption.
