Storm Narra moves offshore, northern Vietnam to see less rain
Storm Narra, the fourth storm to hit the East Vietnam Sea this year, is moving away from Vietnam's coast on Tuesday, while rainfall in northern Vietnam is forecast to ease from the afternoon, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.

Northern Vietnam and the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh are expected to see scattered showers and thunderstorms from Monday night through Tuesday, with heavy rain in some areas.
The southern lowlands of northern Vietnam and areas from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh could receive 50-100 millimeters of rain, with some areas recording more than 180 millimeters.
Rain is expected to gradually ease Tuesday night, with showers and thunderstorms remaining and heavy rain possible in some areas.
Quang Tri Province, Hue City and the south-central coastal region are forecast to be sunny, with hot weather in some areas.
Areas from Hue City to Khanh Hoa Province are expected to see hot weather, with intense heat possible in some areas.
The Central Highlands and southern Vietnam will be sunny during the day, with showers and thunderstorms expected in the late afternoon and evening.
Thunderstorms could bring whirlwinds, lightning, hail and strong gusts.
Storm Narra is moving offshore on Tuesday, with stormy conditions forecast in the Gulf of Tonkin.
Showers and thunderstorms are also forecast over waters from Lam Dong to Ca Mau, from Ca Mau to An Giang, the Gulf of Thailand, and the northern and southern East Vietnam Sea, including the Truong Sa (Spratly) Special Zone.
Thunderstorms could bring whirlwinds and strong gusts of level 7-8, with waves exceeding two meters.

Hanoi: Lows of 24-26 degrees Celsius and highs of 31-33 degrees Celsius; cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms.
Northwestern Vietnam: Lows of 22-25 degrees Celsius and highs of 30-33 degrees Celsius, exceeding 34 degrees Celsius in some areas; mostly cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms and heavy rain in some areas.
Northeastern Vietnam: Lows of 23-27 degrees Celsius and highs of 30-34 degrees Celsius; cloudy, with showers at night and in the morning and heavy rain in some areas. Very heavy rain is possible in the southern lowlands.
Thanh Hoa to Hue: Lows of 24-27 degrees Celsius and highs of 33-37 degrees Celsius; the northern part will be mostly cloudy, with moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms and very heavy rain in some areas, while the southern part will be sunny, with hot to intensely hot weather in some areas.
