Organized by the Indian Business Chamber in Vietnam (INCHAM Vietnam) in collaboration with the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, the event marked one of the most anticipated annual celebrations of the Indian community in Vietnam.
The event served not only as a tribute to cultural heritage, but also as a symbol of solidarity and friendship between the two nations.
Speaking at the fest, Jayprakash Shriram, president of INCHAM Vietnam, emphasized that over the past two decades, Vietnam-India relations have flourished across various sectors including culture, education, trade, and investment.

India now ranks among Vietnam’s top 10 trade partners, while the Southeast Asian continues to emerge as a promising destination for Indian enterprises in food processing, technology, energy, and education.
“Diwali is not only a celebration of an ancient tradition, but also a time to light the lamps of friendship, cooperation, and hope between our two peoples,” said Shriram.
“Each diya we light tonight symbolizes a new beginning – a reflection of gratitude and aspiration for progress."
Data from the Embassy of India in Vietnam indicated that bilateral trade between both sides has surpassed US$15 billion, underscoring the growing strength of their economic and diplomatic ties.
