Vietnam exhibition center handed over to serve National Day expo

The handover ceremony took place in Hanoi last Friday.

Located in suburban Hanoi, the Vietnam Exhibition Center is designed to host national and international political, economic, cultural, and tourism events.

The venue is ranked among the ten largest exhibition–center complexes in the world and is the largest in Southeast Asia.

The ministry will use the venue to host the Exhibition of Economic and Social Achievements, scheduled for August 28 to September 5.

The complex comprises two key areas—Kim Quy Exhibition Hall and the outdoor exhibition space— which were handed over to the ministry ahead of schedule after just nearly ten months of construction.

The coming exhibition will take place at Kim Quy Exhibition Hall, a symbolic structure linked to the legend of God Kim Quy of ancient Co Loa Citadel.

Covering 104,863 square meters and standing more than 56 meters high, Kim Quy is the largest circular exhibition hall in the world and is divided into nine grand halls.

The outdoor exhibition area spans more than 200,000 square meters and ranks among the top three globally in terms of scale.

Within this area, a specific quarter is designed to host mega concerts for up to 50,000 spectators and features world-class infrastructure capable of supporting top-tier performances.

The remaining parts of the Vietnam Exhibition Center, including the Permanent Exhibition Center and the International Standard Convention and Wedding Center, are currently in the final stages of construction and are scheduled for full handover to the ministry on July 15.
