Vietnam hands over 33 immigration offenders to China

The individuals were found to have illegally entered and resided in Vietnam, according to local investigators.

As such, competent forces quickly carried out verification procedures and prepared legal case files in accordance with regulations.

Besides, specialized units under the Quang Ninh Department of Public Security also finalized the necessary procedures to hand over those eligible for return in line with current regulations.

The handover was conducted safely and in compliance with Vietnamese law and international practice.

The provincial police urged organizations and residents in the province to strictly comply with regulations on entry and exit procedures.

Officers warned against assisting, brokering, harboring, or employing foreign nationals without valid legal documentation.

Any acts involving the organization, facilitation, or assistance of illegal immigration, as well as the unlawful employment of foreign workers, would be penalized under Vietnamese law.
