Vietnam lottery firm announces winner of record $13.2mn jackpot

According to Vietlott, the winning numbers for draw No. 1215 were 02-34-39-41-45-52.

Under current regulations, the winner, whose identity has not been revealed, must pay over VND34.4 billion ($1.3 million) in personal income tax. 

This means the final amount awarded will be some VND310.5 billion ($11.9 million).

In addition to the record prize, Vietlott confirmed that two customers each won Jackpot 2 prizes worth nearly VND4 billion ($153,180) in the same draw.

In April 2024, two individuals from Ho Chi Minh City, H. and H.L., jointly claimed a Power 6/55 Jackpot 1 prize worth over VND314 billion ($12 million). 

The winnings were equally divided between the two players.

In May 2018, Vietlott also awarded a jackpot prize of VND304 billion ($11.6 million) to a winner in Hanoi.
