Vietnam on Monday announced the six national champions who will represent the country at the 2025 Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship (MOSWC) finals in the United States.

The announcement was made at the national award ceremony for the 2025 MOSWC, held in Hanoi and jointly organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and education organization IIG Vietnam.

The national champions include: Do Hai Long from the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (Hanoi), winner in MOS Word 365 Apps; Luong Son Tung from Foreign Trade University (Hanoi), winner in MOS Excel 365 Apps; Nguyen Thai Son from Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (Nam Dinh Province), winner in MOS PowerPoint 365 Apps; Vuong Thu Huong from Vietnam Maritime University (Hai Phong City), winner in MOS Word 2019; Nghiem Thi My Linh, also from Vietnam Maritime University, winner in MOS Excel 2019; and Nguyen Minh Duc from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, winner in MOS PowerPoint 2019.

These six will represent Vietnam at the global finals of the 2025 MOS World Championship, scheduled to take place from July 27 to 30 in Orlando, Florida.

There, they will compete against top candidates from nearly 100 countries and territories for prizes ranging from US$2,000 to $8,000.

At the national ceremony, organizers also awarded 18 second prizes, 30 third prizes, 72 consolation prizes, and six promising prizes, along with several other honors for outstanding individuals and groups.

This year's Vietnamese MOSWC drew nearly 2,000 standout candidates selected from 230 teams representing universities, colleges, high schools, and middle schools nationwide.

Many institutions participated for the first time and achieved notable results.

Organizers noted a strong improvement in the overall performance of candidates, with nearly 90 percent scoring 700 points or higher – the international MOS benchmark recognized in over 150 countries and territories and certified by the U.S.-based Certiport.

The number of perfect scores (1,000 points) also surged, with 178 candidates achieving this mark, including several middle school students.
