Vietnam police arrest Chinese national wanted for murder

According to the Quang Ninh Police, on August 20, they received an official diplomatic note from police in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, requesting cooperation in locating and apprehending Yuan Dong Bing, born in 1977, a resident of Jiangxi Province, China.

Upholding international cooperation in crime prevention and suppression, and implementing the cooperation mechanism between the Quang Ninh Police and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Police, director of the Quang Ninh Police Tran Van Phuc and deputy director Cu Quoc Thang directly led the operation.

The economic police unit was assigned to coordinate with other professional units and relevant agencies under the Ministry of Public Security to organize the manhunt.

Nearly 100 officers from the economic police unit, police units in wards, communes, and special zones were mobilized to locate and arrest Yuan as quickly as possible while ensuring the safety of civilians and participating forces.

After nearly a month of intensive tracking, the Quang Ninh Police successfully arrested Yuan on September 18 while he was hiding near Song Mang Street in Mong Cai 2 Ward, Quang Ninh Province.
