Vietnam police investigate viral clip of woman lying on road to block car

According to the video circulating on Facebook the same day, the car was traveling along a road connecting Truong Phu and Le Thuy Communes.

As the vehicle approached a road section running through a paddy field, the driver encountered two people standing beside a motorcycle on the roadside.

The footage shows a woman wearing a helmet and sun protective clothing suddenly running into the roadway and spreading her arms in front of the approaching vehicle.

Moments later, she lay down across the road directly in front of the car, forcing the driver to steer away to avoid hitting her.

Then, a man who had been sitting on the motorcycle accelerated away from the scene after the woman began displaying unusual behavior.

He later returned to the area.

The incident has sparked widespread discussion on social media in Quang Tri, with numerous local pages reposting the clip.

Police are working to identify the woman and clarify the circumstances.
