The defense official also called for meticulous arrangements in logistics and health care, including accommodations, nutrition, disease prevention, and food safety in accordance with established standards.
Hosting foreign military delegations is considered a significant defense diplomacy mission with deep political, military, and diplomatic implications.
It demonstrates the prestige and international standing of the Vietnam People's Army, as well as the hospitality, professionalism, and goodwill of the Vietnamese people and armed forces.
Earlier, Vietnam’s Ministry of National Defense had extended invitations to the defense ministries of eight countries, including Russia, China, Laos, Cambodia, Cuba, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan.
Among them, five countries—Russia, China, Laos, Cambodia, and Belarus—were invited to send military units to participate in the parade.
So far, Cuba has confirmed participation, announcing that its Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces will attend the event.
Laos and Cambodia have also expressed their support for sending troops to join the military parade.
