Nguyen Cong Thanh, chairman of Tuy Hoa Ward in Dak Lak Province, said on Wednesday that the lights were reinstalled and tested the previous day following a directive from the provincial government.
The tower’s decorative lighting had been non-functional due to technical issues, which affected the site’s appearance during the peak summer tourism season.

The repair process involved coordination with the original contractor to replace damaged components and fully restore the night-time illumination.
Nghinh Phong Tower, which opened in 2022, is a central feature of Tuy Hoa and is equipped with advanced lighting technologies, including Bobine Tesia, 3D mapping, and high-intensity lasers.
Tuy Hoa Ward was part of Phu Yen Province before the province was merged into Dak Lak Province under a nationwide administrative reorganization that took effect on July 1.

Inspired by the natural formation Ganh Da Dia, also known as the Reef of Plates, the tower was designed as a cultural symbol of the region.
It received the 2023 Asian Urban Landscape Award and was named the 2023 World’s Leading City Monument by the World Travel Awards.

Local residents welcomed the lighting restoration after months of malfunction.
“I come here every night to jog and enjoy the sea breeze. The broken lights took away from the beauty of the tower,” said Nguyen Phuc Nhu Ai, a 39-year-old resident.
“Now that it’s lit up again, it feels like the landmark is back.”
