The Vietnam Legends Championship 2025, held under the theme 'Where Legends Meet,' marks an important step in the growth and international integration of Vietnamese sports, particularly in Ho Chi Minh City.
More than just a sporting event, it is a platform to showcase the country's ability to organize and manage world-class competitions, while also promoting Vietnam's image to the international community.
The event affirms Vietnam's rising position in global sports and opens up opportunities for tourism, cultural exchange, and economic cooperation.
The tournament is expected to attract over 60 legendary golfers—including former champions of Major Championships, the European Tour, and the Ryder Cup—along with 3,500 golfers and business leaders from both Vietnam and abroad who will gather to compete and connect.
According to the organizing committee, the Vietnam Legends Championship 2025 will involve the participation of players from more than 20 countries and territories.
The first leg of the tournament, Race to Legend 1, is scheduled to take place on September 20, 2025 at KN Golf Links, a coastal course designed by golf legend Greg Norman, known for its unique links-style layout in Khanh Hoa Province.
This opening round will welcome several famous names in world golf, including Phil Harrison, Bill Longmuir, Jeremy Robinson, Gary Evans, Van Phillips, and Gary Murphy.
Following that, Race to Legend 2 will be held on October 23, 2025 at Long Thanh Golf Club in Dong Nai Province, a venue well known among the southern golf community for its wide fairways, varied terrain, and high-standard facilities.

The Vietnam Legends Championship 2025 appeals not only to fans of the sport but also to high-net-worth individuals who seek premium experiences and a luxurious lifestyle.
More importantly, it will feature the participation of golf legends from Europe and across the world, including former Major winners such as Ian Woosnam, Paul Lawrie, Thomas Bjørn, Colin Montgomerie, and Michael Campbell.
In addition to the core tournament, the event also includes pro-am matches, allowing amateurs to play alongside professionals, as well as charity activities and exclusive golf experiences for sponsors, businesspeople, fans, and guests.
There will also be a wide range of trade promotion programs, helping to foster connections and investment opportunities between Vietnam and international partners.
The tournament lays the foundation for future golf events in Vietnam and the region, encouraging other countries, brands, and golf courses to organize internationally-recognized tournaments tied to local culture and sporting heritage.
According to Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu, deputy director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, the tournament represents not only a major sporting event but also a meaningful opportunity for connections and cultural exchange among players.
It plays an important role in promoting Ho Chi Minh City's brand as a distinctive sports tourism destination on the international map.
A representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association emphasized that the tournament is not just a recreational platform for golf players, but also a strategic tourism promotion activity and an avenue for expanding business and trade cooperation.
The event will allow businesses to collaborate in organizing travel tours for participating teams, hosting investment roundtable conferences, and launching community activities such as the Future Legends initiative.
From August 29 to September 27, 144 athletes arrive in Vietnam to engage in networking, sightseeing, golf practice, and inspirational community events at local universities.
On September 16, the official signing ceremony between the organizing committee, sponsors, and media partners is held at the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports.
From September 18 to 20, Race to Legend 1 and 2 will take place at Dalat Golf Club in Lam Dong Province and KN Golf Links.
The following legs, Race to Legend 3 and 4, will be held from October 23 to 25 at Long Thanh Golf Club and Royal Long An in Tay Ninh Province.
From November 13 to 15, the Vietnam–Dubai Economic Forum and trade exhibition will be held in Dubai, aiming to promote commercial cooperation between Vietnam and the UAE.
Finally, the culminating event of the tour—the Vietnam Legends Championship 2025 at Tan Son Nhat Golf Course in Ho Chi Minh City from November 25 to 30—will serve as the final round to crown the champion and honor the tour's most outstanding players.
