Vietnam wins silver medal at Asian shooting championships
Vietnam won a silver medal in the men’s 25m standard pistol team event at the 2026 Asian Rifle and Pistol Championships in India on Sunday, the Vietnam Shooting Federation said.

Vietnamese shooters Pham Quang Huy, Ha Minh Thanh, and Phan Cong Minh combined for a total score of 1,687 points.
Minh led the Vietnamese trio with 564 points to place sixth individually, followed by Huy in 10th with 563 points and Thanh in 12th with 560 points.
Host India claimed gold with 1,715 points and Kazakhstan took bronze with 1,678.
The result marked Vietnam’s third medal at the championships so far, adding to a silver in the women’s 10m air pistol team event and a bronze in the men’s 50m pistol team event.
The team prepared to compete on Monday in the women’s 25m sport pistol with Trinh Thu Vinh, Nguyen Thuy Trang, and Nguyen Thuy Dung.
