Initially, Yia Song claimed he was hired by a Lao individual to transport the drugs from Laos to Vinh City, located in the north-central Vietnamese province of Nghe An, for a fee of US$12,000.

Yia Song then enlisted Keo Song’s help in exchange for a payment ranging from $2,000 to $3,000.

The case is currently under further investigation.
