‘Bun cha,’ a Hanoi-style dish of grilled pork served with vermicelli noodles, herbs, and dipping broth, ranked fourth on the list with a rating of 4.3 out of 5.
TasteAtlas said ‘bun cha’ gained international recognition after appearing in a 2016 episode of the CNN travel and food program ‘Parts Unknown,’ in which late chef and host Anthony Bourdain shared the dish with former U.S. President Barack Obama in Hanoi.

‘Thit kho tau,’ a Vietnamese braised pork belly and egg dish commonly served during the Lunar New Year holiday, ranked 20th with 4.1 stars, while ‘nem lui,’ grilled pork wrapped around lemongrass skewers from the central city of Hue, placed 24th with the same rating.
‘Com tam suon,’ a southern Vietnamese dish of grilled pork served over broken rice, ranked 29th with 4 stars.

Other Vietnamese dishes included in the Top 76 Asian Pork Dishes list were ‘thit dong’ (Vietnamese pork aspic) at 50th place, ‘khau nhuc’ (Vietnamese marinated roasted pork loin) at 57th, ‘cai meo xao thit heo gac bep’ (preserved mustard greens with smoked pork belly) at 73rd, ‘thit heo nuong muoi vung’ (Sapa black pork skewers) at 74th, and ‘nem Phung’ (Vietnamese fermented pork) at 75th.
