Two helicopters from the Air Defense-Air Force Service and one from Corps 18 were dispatched to transport a working delegation including representatives from the Rescue and Relief Department under the General Staff, the Central Military Hospital 108, and military medical forces on Sunday morning.
Four metric tons of aid supplies included essential goods, medical supplies, and medicines.
The relief team visited the flood-hit areas and delivered aid to both local residents and frontline forces engaged in post-disaster recovery efforts.
Flash floods, landslides, and torrential rains have struck the province, causing widespread devastation.
The helicopters took off from Gia Lam Airport in Hanoi and landed at designated locations in Dien Bien Province, including Na Son Stadium and Hang Lia Stadium in Tia Dinh Commune.
To date, the ministry has mobilized over 1,840 officers and soldiers to participate in search and rescue operations, support the recovery of flood-damaged areas, and help stabilize the lives of residents in Dien Bien and Son La Provinces.

According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien Province, severe flash floods and landslides hit several areas, including Xa Dung, Tia Dinh, Na Son, and Muong Luan Communes on Friday, leaving 10 people dead and seven injured and causing hundreds of families to lose their homes and assets.
Roads, bridges, schools, and medical facilities have been severely damaged or submerged.
Some areas remain completely isolated due to impassable roads and landslides.
In response, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province called on individuals, organizations, businesses, and philanthropists, both within and outside the province, to contribute what they can to help disaster-stricken communities overcome hardship, recover from losses, and rebuild their lives and livelihoods.
