The May Dap Cau Kindergarten in the provincial city of Bac Ninh on Wednesday submitted a report regarding the incident involving a teacher, identified as V.M.A., who was seen on surveillance footage beating a young child.
The footage shows the child being taken to a corner of the classroom and repeatedly hit.
The clip, uploaded to Facebook by the child’s parents, quickly drew strong reactions online.
Following the family's complaint, the school board checked the surveillance camera before working with the teacher, who later admitted to the behavior and apologized to the family.

The school has temporarily suspended the teacher and pledged to handle the matter in accordance with regulations.
Principal Tran Thi Hoa also issued an apology on behalf of the school, emphasizing efforts to stabilize operations and reinforce professional conduct among staff.
Despite the school’s efforts, the family declined reconciliation and demanded accountability.
Subsequently, local education authorities directed the school to address the case seriously.
Vu Xuan Hung, chairman of the Thi Cau Ward administration in Bac Ninh City, told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper that local police and officials met with the family and school following the video’s release.
While the family has so far declined to take the child for a medical check-up, further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses, the official added.
Hung also clarified that the school is a privately run institution operated by Dap Cau Garment Corporation Joint Stock Company, not a public facility as some social media users claimed it to be.
