Vietnam’s Can Tho to stage fireworks display for National Day celebration
Can Tho City in southern Vietnam will hold a fireworks display on August 29 as part of celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the country’s August Revolution and National Day on September 2, local authorities said.
The Can Tho People’s Committee has announced a series of commemorative events for the two occasions, including memorial ceremonies and incense offerings at multiple locations.
A formal ceremony and cultural performance will take place at Tay Do Park on the evening of August 29, followed by an artistic fireworks show at 9:30 pm, according to the city’s official plan.
The city also plans to launch or inaugurate several major infrastructure projects in the lead-up to the celebrations.
