The woman, identified as 32-year-old L.Y.C. residing in District 10, called the 115 Emergency Center at around 8:40 pm on Tuesday, reporting that she was experiencing heavy vaginal bleeding while sitting in a park near her home.

She was 26 weeks pregnant at the time.

Within 10 minutes, a rapid-response ambulance team arrived at the scene, where they found the woman with dangerously high blood pressure, a rapid heart rate of 134 beats per minute, and continuous vaginal bleeding.

She was already under monitoring for high-risk preeclampsia during her pregnancy.

The team immediately transferred her to Hung Vuong Hospital in neighboring District 5.

Just eight minutes later, doctors at the hospital diagnosed her with severe preeclampsia and a serious case of placental abruption.

Doctors performed an emergency C-section and the baby, weighing just 720 grams, was delivered safely five minutes later.

The newborn is being monitored at the neonatal intensive care unit.

The mother underwent post-operative care and was reported to be in stable condition three days after the surgery.
