Vietnam’s English center chain launches free online exam prep platform for national high school tests

The platform, accessible free of charge, was introduced in response to the government's National Digital Transformation initiative and to address concerns among students about the Ministry of Education and Training's planned transition to computer-based high school graduation exams, expected by 2027.

DOL English said the project aims to remove financial and geographic barriers, allowing students, including those in remote or disadvantaged areas, to access high-quality exam preparation resources on equal footing.

The dolthpt.vn platform is positioned as a comprehensive exam preparation ecosystem, offering a database of 10,000 practice tests across core subjects, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, literature, and English.

Users can study by topic or take full-length mock exams, including nationwide practice tests and sample questions aligned with formats from the education ministry and top universities.

The language center chain described the platform as a fully nonprofit educational project, developed as a 'gift' of knowledge to high school students nationwide while also anticipating the shift to computer-based testing.

DOL English said the platform's free access does not come at the expense of quality.

Content has been carefully compiled by former students from leading specialized schools and top graduates, including alumni of the High School for the Gifted under Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, and high-achieving graduates from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education and University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

The system incorporates features designed to reflect evolving exam formats. Its question bank is continuously updated to match the latest exam structures and knowledge frameworks, helping students focus on key topics.

The platform also simulates real testing conditions, with an interface modeled on actual exam environments to help users build familiarity, improve time management, and perform under pressure.

In addition, dolthpt.vn applies technology to personalizing study plans. The system tracks user progress, analyzes individual strengths and weaknesses, and automatically recommends exercises to address knowledge gaps and optimize performance.

DOL English said it expects the platform to become a reliable companion for students as they prepare for major exams, helping them develop technical skills, strengthen confidence, and build structured study strategies.

"We aim not only to build a test preparation website, but to contribute to a more equitable learning ecosystem," said Do Thi Ngoc Anh, a master's degree holder and IELTS teacher at DOL English.

"Its broader community value lies in removing barriers related to geography and cost.

"Whether in a major city or a remote area, anyone with Internet access can study, practice, and take mock exams on a computer with ease."

She added that the platform also helps users strengthen logical thinking skills, solve questions more effectively, and significantly reduce study time.

Tran Duc Tai, the sole student scoring 30 out of 30 on the math-chemistry-biology tests during the 2025 national high school graduation exam and now a student at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, said he believes the DOL THPT platform plays a meaningful role in narrowing educational inequality by providing free learning resources to students regardless of their location or circumstances. 

He added that its alignment with digital transformation efforts and its early adoption of computer-based testing formats would give 12th-grade students more opportunities to practice, helping them feel more confident when entering the actual exam.
