Vietnam’s famous Sa Dec Flower Village bustles ahead of New Year
Over the past week, Sa Dec Flower Village in Dong Thap Province, southern Vietnam has been bustling with visitors from many localities who come to visit and buy flowers to decorate for the coming New Year.

Down in the flower fields, growers rush to water plants and move flowers from growing platforms to the roadside for sale to visitors.
Pham Ha from Ho Chi Minh City said this year, she found Sa Dec livelier and more beautifully developed, with expanded flower cultivation and more growing areas than before.

"I have been to Sa Dec many times, but this trip is the most satisfying,” she said.
“I am impressed by the model of growing flowers on raised platforms over water where visitors can row boats.
“This is something unique that other flower growing areas do not have.”
In the central area of Sa Dec Ward, trucks carrying flowers move continuously to supply the second Sa Dec Ornamental Flower Festival, which takes place from December 27 to January 4.
According to a representative of the Tan An flower production and supply cooperative group in Sa Dec Ward, in just about five days of welcoming visitors for sightseeing and photography at its flower growing area, the site received at least 3,000 visitors.
