A leader of Hue’s Thuan Hoa Ward said the ward had instructed its culture and social affairs unit to work with Vinh Ninh Elementary School to clarify the case.

Posts circulating online claim a fourth-grade student was struck with a wooden ruler by a teacher after forgetting to bring a notebook to class.

The posts also said the student was taken to hospital and diagnosed with a fracture of the ulna near the elbow.

School representatives declined to comment when contacted, saying the principal was unavailable.

Local authorities said they had requested a report from the school and would provide further information after verification.

Officials said multiple accounts were circulating and the case would be reviewed carefully, with any violations to be handled in line with regulations.
