The Ba Ngoi depot, to be developed by Cam Ranh Port JSC in partnership with PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL), has a total projected investment of over VND150 billion (US$5.7 million).

Phase 1 involves the reclamation of 20,000 square meters of land, including 18,000 square meters extending into the sea, along with the construction of a 511-meter seawall and related infrastructure.

Completion is expected within 10 months starting from the date of approval.

Phase 2 will cover two hectares and include tanks with a total storage capacity of 13,500 cubic meters.

Construction is scheduled to take 13 months after the first phase is completed, with operations licensed for 20 years.

The facility will store diesel, gasoline, and Jet A1 aviation fuel to serve the Cam Ranh airport and expand PVOIL’s regional jet fuel distribution.

An environmental assessment noted possible impacts from the land reclamation, including changes to local hydrology and marine ecosystems.

The developer pledged mitigation measures such as dust control, waste management, and worker safety protocols.
