The provincial administration unveiled the plan at a ceremony held on Friday.
By 2030, the province seeks to establish itself as an international hub for marine tourism, leveraging its coastal economy and strengthening its position as a flagship destination in Southeast Asia.
Khanh Hoa will build its tourism sector on a clear brand identity and a unified ecosystem, with services contributing 20 percent of its gross regional domestic product.
The province targets 33 million visitors annually, with international travelers accounting for 40-45 percent of arrivals.
Average length of stay is expected to reach four to five days per visitor, with per-capita spending rising 1.5 to two times compared with 2025 levels.
Accommodation capacity is projected to expand to around 100,000 rooms, with 75 percent meeting three- to five-star standards, creating jobs for more than 300,000 workers.
Looking ahead to 2045, Khanh Hoa aims to be globally recognized as one of Asia’s leading beach destinations, offering high-value tourism products and services.
The province plans to maintain double-digit growth in the sector, supported by six strategic pillars, including building a premier destination, strengthening branding, improving connectivity, enhancing visitor experiences, securing financial resources, and advancing smart governance.
Thirty-six key tasks will focus on institutional reforms, infrastructure development, product diversification, digital transformation, workforce training, and investment promotion.
The plan emphasizes green transition, modern destination management, and night-time economy development.
Signature cultural products such as bird’s nest, agarwood, Cham heritage, and the Kate festival will be leveraged to create a distinctive identity.
