The 14-year-old, Vietnam's sole representative and the only player from Southeast Asia in the East and Southeast Asia qualifiers for the 2025 Roland Garros Junior Series by Renault, secured the tournament's first major upset.
The event, organized by the French Tennis Federation (FFT) and the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF), runs through Saturday and offers players a pathway to compete in France.
Tien Anh, who trains with the Army Tennis Club in Vietnam and was once ranked No. 5 globally in the U14 category by Universal Tennis Rating, won both the singles and doubles titles at an ATF event in old Binh Duong Province in March.
