Vietnam’s Nguyen Thu Thao crowned The Miss Globe 2026

The Miss Globe 2026 is taking place in Thailand from October 24 to November 7 under the theme of "beauty in unity, promoting cultural diversity, international friendship and the shared aspirations of women around the world."

It is organized by Miss Grand International (MGI), headed by MGI president Nawat Itsaragrisil.

The final of The Miss Globe 2026 took place at Friday noon in Thailand, with 49 contestants from various countries and territories competing for the crown.

The first runner-up title went to Thailand, followed by Ukraine as second runner-up, the Netherlands as third runner-up, and Argentina as fourth runner-up.

Before the final, Thu Thao had an impressive run in the subsidiary competitions.

She made the top 25 in the Talent Competition, top 10 in Miss Social Media, top 10 in Best in Swimsuit, top six in National Costume, and top five in the People's Choice Award.

For the National Costume segment, Thu Thao presented a design titled Hong Phuong Ky Van, created by designer Dang Phong.

Inspired by hat boi, a traditional theatrical art form in southern Vietnam, the costume introduced Vietnamese cultural identity to international audiences.

Born in 2005 in Tuyen Quang Province, northern Vietnam, Nguyen Thu Thao stands 1.8 meters tall and is currently a student at the National Economics University.

She is the reigning winner of the Miss and Mister Tourism Vietnam 2026 contest and previously competed in Miss Vietnam, where she finished in the top 40.

Vietnam has sent contestants to The Miss Globe several times, achieving some notable results.

Do Tran Khanh Ngan won The Miss Globe in 2017, meanwhile, Lam Thu Hong finished as fourth runner-up in 2022, while Do Ha Trang earned the same title in 2024.
