Pham Thanh Liem, chairman of the People’s Committee of the special zone, confirmed on Saturday that the Truong Sa archipelago had finalized all arrangements for the national election day.
Despite the zone’s remote location and harsh weather conditions, Polling Station No. 14 on the archipelago has successfully completed every required task in accordance with the Law on Election of Deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils.
The polling station will hold voting on Sunday, the same day as the nationwide election.
A full rehearsal was conducted at the polling station on Saturday morning to review and finalize preparations for the election.
Liem said that an election committee for the special zone has been established with 11 members.
In addition, six election boards and 21 polling teams have been formed, with a total of 189 members.
A detailed election timetable was also developed for each phase, with close coordination between provincial authorities and the Naval Region 4 Command.
“Truong Sa Special Zone has fully prepared the necessary facilities and equipment for the election, including 22 main ballot boxes and 16 auxiliary ballot boxes, along with printed materials, voter lists, ballots and voter identification cards,” Liem said.
