Vietnam’s Vietlott Jackpot winner claims over $4mn

The winning numbers were 14-16-35-38-43-51. Vietlott confirmed that only one ticket matched all six numbers.

Under current regulations, the winner must claim the prize within 60 days of the draw; otherwise, the ticket becomes invalid.

Before receiving the payout, the winner is required to pay a 10-percent personal income tax on the portion exceeding VND10 million ($383).

After deductions, the net amount is estimated at about VND103 billion ($4 million).

In addition to the jackpot, the same late Thursday draw produced 20 first-prize winners, each earning VND40 million ($1,528).

More than 1,400 second-prize winners received VND500,000 ($20) each, while over 28,650 players won third prizes of VND50,000 ($2).
