Vietnam’s Vietlott player wins $3.2mn jackpot

The winning numbers for Jackpot 1 were 01-14-15-19-23-34.

The total jackpot value reached VND83,319,176,100.

Under Vietnam’s personal income tax regulations, lottery winners must pay a 10-percent tax on prize amounts exceeding VND10 million ($380).

Vietlott will deduct the tax before transferring the prize money.

After taxes, the winner is expected to receive approximately VND75 billion ($2.8 million).

In the same draw, two players shared the Jackpot 2 prize, worth VND5,957,364,550 ($226,000). Each will receive approximately $113,000.

In addition to the jackpot prizes, the draw recorded 32 first-prize winners, with each ticket worth VND40 million ($1,518).

Meanwhile, 1,414 ticket holders won second prizes worth VND500,000 ($18) each, while third prizes were awarded to 25,901 players, each receiving VND50,000 ($1.8).

Vietlott said it will announce on Wednesday the location where the winning tickets were sold and whether they were purchased at retail outlets or via SMS.
