Vietnam’s leading private conglomerate Vingroup has secured a place among the 30 largest companies in Southeast Asia, according to the 2026 Fortune Southeast Asia 500 ranking released by American global business magazine Fortune on Wednesday.

Vingroup ranked 26th on the prestigious list, climbing 11 spots from its 2025 position and a total of 19 places compared with 2024.

The achievement reinforces the group’s position as the highest-ranked private enterprise in Vietnam.

The Fortune Southeast Asia 500 ranking evaluates companies from seven countries across the region based on total revenue.

In 2025, Vingroup reported revenue of US$12.76 billion, representing a 69.1-percent year-on-year increase.

The group posted a profit of $436.5 million and total assets of $42.54 billion.

Over the years, Vingroup has expanded its business ecosystem beyond its traditional sectors, developing operations across technology and industry, commercial services, green energy, infrastructure, and culture.

In the technology and industrial segment, electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has strengthened its position as Vietnam’s market leader, while accelerating international expansion.

The company delivered nearly 200,000 electric cars in 2025, marking a 102-percent surge from the previous year.

Growth continued into the first quarter of 2026, with VinFast delivering 58,577 vehicles, up 61 percent year on year.

Within the commercial and service sector, real estate developer Vinhomes has led the market.

The firm recorded an after-tax profit of over VND43.3 trillion ($1.6 billion) in 2025 and is currently developing several large-scale urban projects, including Vinhomes Global Gate Ha Long and Vinhomes Saigon Park.

Hospitality arm Vinpearl operates a portfolio of hotels, VinWonders theme parks, and world-class golf courses across Vietnam.

Vingroup is also accelerating investment in new growth sectors.

Through infrastructure developer VinSpeed, the group has launched two high-speed railway projects, including the Ben Thanh - Can Gio route in Ho Chi Minh City and the Hanoi - Quang Ninh line.

In green energy, VinEnergo has reached agreements to develop a renewable energy project portfolio with a total capacity of 10 gigawatts across Asia and Europe.

In Vietnam, the firm has already received investment certificates for four renewable energy projects.

Beyond its core business activities, Vingroup has expanded into cultural and social initiatives.

In May, the group introduced its V-Film strategy to support the development of a professional film industry in Vietnam.

Also, Vinmec inaugurated its 10th hospital in March, while VinUniversity received international quality accreditation from FIBAA in March last year, further strengthening the group's reputation in education and healthcare.
