Of the two rail links, one will connect downtown Ho Chi Minh City with Can Gio, a former coastal district in the city.

The other will link Hanoi with Quang Ninh Province in the north.

Key positions include senior BIM (Building Information Modeling) engineers, BIM managers, technology transfer specialists, technology managers for railway systems, senior structural engineers for bridges and tunnels, railway construction engineers, electrical and signaling system engineers, and technical managers.

VinSpeed noted that salaries are negotiable and were not disclosed in the recruitment announcement.

The Ho Chi Minh City-Can Gio high-speed rail line is expected to stretch 48.7 kilometers with a top design speed of 350kph.

The line starts from Nguyen Van Linh Street in former District 7, passes through former Nha Be District, crosses the Soai Rap River, and ends at the under-construction Can Gio coastal urban zone.

This project is expected to cost around US$4 billion, with Vingroup assigned by Ho Chi Minh City authorities to prepare a proposal.

Construction and operations are scheduled for the 2025-28 period.

Meanwhile, the Hanoi-Quang Ninh high-speed railway will run about 121 kilometers at the same maximum speed of 350kph, featuring four to five stations.

It will connect the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Hanoi with erstwhile Dai Yen Ward.

In Quang Ninh, former Dai Yen, Tuan Chau Wards and part of former Ha Khau Ward have been merged into a larger ward called Tuan Chau, as the result of a recent major administrative restructuring in which 63 Vietnamese provinces and cities were reduced to 34 and local administrations were divided into provinces/cities and wards/communes, effective July 1.

The Hanoi-Quang Ninh project carries a price tag of $5.4 billion and is slated for completion around 2030.

Aside from these two projects, VinSpeed is also awaiting the Vietnamese government’s approval to participate as an investor in the country’s North-South high-speed rail project.

On May 14, VinSpeed announced its registration to invest in the North-South high-speed railway project, with a proposed total investment of over $60 billion.

Founded on May 6 this year in Hanoi, VinSpeed is the latest addition to Vuong's sprawling business portfolio and has a charter capital of VND6 trillion ($230 million).

As chairman of Vingroup, Vietnam's largest private conglomerate, Vuong holds a 51-percent stake in VinSpeed.

Vingroup holds a 10-percent stake, while the Vietnam Investment Group JSC owns a 35-percent stake.

Pham Thuy Hang, younger sister of Vuong’s wife Pham Thu Huong, contributed a three-percent stake.
