The hospital is set to feature a capacity of 1,000 beds.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Professor Dr. Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health, praised the visionary scale of the hospital.
He highlighted that the hospital would not only showcase unique architectural beauty but also offer a comprehensive medical ecosystem.
“The AEGIS International Hospital integrates a hospital, hotel, research center, and expert housing into a unified, interconnected complex,” said Deputy Minister Thuan.
The hospital is aimed at elevating human health comprehensively and sustainably, reflecting the spirit of future medicine for precision, intelligence, and human values, he said.
Deputy Minister Thuan noted that as Vietnam faces rapid population aging and an increase in chronic non-communicable diseases, projects like AEGIS represent not just innovation but a deeply responsible, forward-looking investment in the nation’s health.

Vinaconex general director Nguyen Xuan Dong, chairman of the AEGIS International Hospital, expected the hospital to provide international-standard healthcare services domestically, contributing to positioning Vietnam as a trusted regional medical destination.
“In line with the Party and government’s strategy to develop the healthcare system and enhance public health protection, the AEGIS International Hospital is our bold aspiration to create a leading medical complex in Vietnam,” Dong said.
Patients will receive care and treatment from top global medical experts using advanced technology, he added.
The hospital’s strategic location on Hanoi’s rapidly developing southern axis connects key regional transport projects, offering easy access to the city center and neighboring provinces including Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, and Ninh Binh.

Designed by a Japanese company, the hospital will consist of two 26-story towers with four underground levels, along with an eight-story multi-purpose building.
Covering a total floor area of 287,000 square meters, the complex will accommodate 1,000 beds, positioning it as one of the largest private medical facilities in Vietnam.
At the ceremony, the AEGIS International Hospital also signed agreements for research collaboration, technical support, training, and technology transfer with several leading medical universities and general hospitals.
