Residents in Ho Chi Minh City thrilled by female traffic police officers on motorcycle

The scene unfolded on Le Loi Boulevard in District 1, as preparations continued for the upcoming ‘Glory to Vietnam’s People's Public Security’ program, which will take place from Friday to Sunday.

The officer, Major Nguyen Thi Ngoc Thu of the traffic police unit of Ho Chi Minh City, led the motorcade during a rehearsal for the event.

Her confidence and skillful maneuver demonstrated the discipline and dedication of traffic police.

Despite the sweltering heat, the training atmosphere remained focused and highly professional.

Spectators, drawn by the rumble of engines and the elegance of the performance, lined the sidewalks in admiration.

“The special vehicle I am riding has a 1,800cc engine,” Major Thu shared.

To master it, she has used every opportunity such as riding from her station to training sites to get to know the bike better.

She said that she has a genuine passion for large-displacement motorcycles, which has earned her a recurring role in escorting dignitaries and international guests visiting Ho Chi Minh City.

“I feel so honored and proud to perform alongside the VIP Protection Command in the event that showcases the level of training, focus, and professionalism of the police force,” she said.

This was the third rehearsal of the traffic police team before the final full-scale rehearsal scheduled for Thursday afternoon, involving multiple police units.
