The week-long light show, running from November 6 to 13, is jointly organized by the British Consulate General in the city and Sovico Group, one of Vietnam’s leading investment conglomerates.
From 6:00 pm to 12:00 am daily during this period, the tower at 2 Ton Duc Thang Street in Saigon Ward dazzles with both countries’ national flags, signature emblems, and messages of friendship, creating a striking new highlight on the city skyline.
The illumination marks not only a symbolic celebration of the upgraded relationship but also reflects the spirit of friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect between Vietnam and the UK.
The event follows Vietnamese Party General Secretary To Lam’s official visit to the UK late last month, during which both sides announced the elevation of their relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
The upgrade ushers in a new phase of closer collaboration in trade and investment, defense and security, innovation, science and technology, green growth, climate action, education, research, and cultural exchange.
This expanded cooperation is expected to deliver tangible benefits, drive socio-economic growth, and strengthen the bond between the two nations in the years ahead.
The final night of the light show, on November 13, will coincide with celebrations for King Charles III’s 77th birthday on November 14.
To mark the occasion, the British Embassy in Hanoi will host a King’s Birthday Party to honor the enduring friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the UK and Vietnam, as well as their shared commitment to global peace, security, and sustainable development.
The British Consulate General invites residents and visitors to enjoy the illumination of Saigon Marina IFC Tower throughout the week.
