HCMC - A local consortium comprising FUTA Bus Lines and Thanh Hiep Phat Company Limited has won tenders to construct and operate a rest area on Cam Lam-Vinh Hao Expressway and another on Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet Expressway.
On June 27, the Ministry of Transport's expressway management department approved the tender results for the two rest areas. The Cam Lam-Vinh Hao Expressway rest area requires a total budget of nearly VND300 billion, while the one on Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet Expressway will cost over VND313 billion. These amounts cover both construction and land clearance. Each rest area will cover around 10 hectares, with five hectares on each side of the road. Key construction features will include parking areas, restrooms, rest spaces, lodging facilities for drivers, information centers, restaurants, gas stations, and auto service stations. The construction of these two rest area projects is expected to take over 15 months. Upon completion, the investors will have the right to operate the rest stops for 25 years.
