HCMC – Japan’s Sumitomo Forestry Group is exploring opportunities to expand its long-term investment in HCMC, with a particular focus on green sectors such as renewable energy, biofuels, carbon credit markets, and sustainable forestry.

HCMC - Danang City is calling for investment to develop the second phase of the Hoa Cam Industrial Zone project, which will require an estimated VND2.25 trillion.
The investment proposal for this project has got approval from the Government in March. Hoa Cam Industrial Zone will cover 120 hectares in Hoa Tho Tay Ward of Cam Le District and Hoa Nhon Commune of Hoa Vang District, Danang City. Compensation and resettlement will take more than VND1,068 billion. Danang authorities announced that any investors interested in this project should submit a formal request before October 1. Danang authorities plan to organize a competitive bid to choose the investors for the second phase of the industrial zone project in the fourth quarter of this year. Danang has six industrial zones in service with a total area of about 1,160 hectares, including Danang, Hoa Cam, Hoa Khanh, Expanded Hoa Khanh, Lien Chieu and Danang Seafood Service. Apart from these six industrial parks, Danang also has a high-tech industrial park established in 2010 with a total area of over 1,000 hectares.
