HCMC – Construction of Long Thanh International Airport's Component 3 has reached nearly 76% of the value of signed contracts, with more than 7,300 workers deployed under a 180-day acceleration campaign, according to the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV).

HCMC – The National Assembly has greenlit an investment plan for the Beltway No. 4 project in HCMC to improve connectivity in the southern region.
The 159.3-kilometer road will be divided into 10 sections and connect the southeastern region to the Central Highlands and the Mekong Delta. The project is expected to cost around VND120.4 trillion, with VND29.7 trillion from the central budget, VND40.1 trillion from local governments, and VND50.6 trillion raised by private investors. Construction is set to begin in 2025 and finish in 2029. The project will be conducted under public-private partnership with build-operate-transfer (BOT) contracts. It will include mechanisms for investment guarantees and revenue sharing under existing PPP regulations. The project will require around 1,421 hectares, with 1,416 hectares allocated for compensation and resettlement. Land will be acquired based on the plan for an eight-lane road, though the project will initially build four lanes. The road is intended to ease congestion in central HCMC, improve freight transport from industrial zones to ports and airports, and promote regional development. The NA resolution allows authorities to bypass several planning and design procedures to speed up implementation.
