HCMC – Demand for dengue vaccinations has surged more than 40% as HCMC recorded 17,718 infections and four deaths in the first five months of the year, according to health authorities and a major vaccination provider.

HCMC - The HCMC Health Department has announced 59 Covid-19 vaccination centers will stay open during the long weekend holiday.
From April 29 to May 5, people aged over 18 in the city can come to these vaccination centers from 7:30 to 11:30 and from 13:00 to 16:00. Given the recent increase in new Covid infections, the department said that the 1,800-bed Covid field hospital No.13 in Binh Chanh District is ready to resume operation. The facility will be activated if the HCMC Hospital for Tropical Diseases receives more than 50 severe Covid cases. The city has 10 Covid-19 experts on standby to give professional support to hospitals in need. The department is prepared to aid hospitals with approximately 2,000 vials of Remdesivir, a Covid-19 antiviral produced by global pharmaceutical company Mylan, a unit of the United States’ Pfizer in HCMC.
