HCMC - The HCMC Department of Health has unveiled a plan to develop a medical and pharmaceutical industrial park inside Le Minh Xuan 2 Industrial Park in the outlying district of Binh Chanh.
Covering 338 hectares, this industrial park will become a hub for research and development, manufacturing, and distribution of pharmaceutical products and related high-tech items.

The project is expected to be completed by 2030.

The move is part of a plan on the development of HCMC’s pharmaceutical industry to 2030, with a vision to 2045. The effort aligns with the Government's strategy to attract foreign investment and promote technology transfer in the pharmaceutical sector.

Vietnam wants to reduce its reliance on medical imports, and become an exporter of high-quality and competitively priced pharmaceutical products.
