HCMC – Construction of Long Thanh International Airport's Component 3 has reached nearly 76% of the value of signed contracts, with more than 7,300 workers deployed under a 180-day acceleration campaign, according to the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV).

HCMC – Metro Line No. 1, connecting Ben Thanh Market and Suoi Tien Theme Park, is set to commence commercial operations on December 22, according to the Management Authority for Urban Railways of HCMC (MAUR).
Speaking at a press conference on November 21 about the city’s socio-economic developments, a MAUR representative confirmed that construction of the project has been fully completed. Final procedures are underway to prepare for the launch. MAUR and the metro operator are collaborating to ensure a smooth rollout. Preparations include coordinating staff training, operational testing, acceptance checks, and the handover of key components. Additionally, the teams are finalizing approvals for a pilot project to utilize specific infrastructure assets of HCMC’s urban railway system. During the initial phase, Metro Line No. 1 will operate daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. During peak hours, trains will run every eight minutes, while during off-peak hours, the interval will be 12 minutes. The peak hours are expected to be 6-8 a.m., 11 a.m.-12 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.-6 p.m. daily.
