Held from May 28 to 30 (the 12th to 14th days of the fourth lunar month), the Water Ball Wrestling Festival in Van Village, Bac Ninh Province, is a centuries-old folk celebration rooted in local prayers for favorable weather and abundant harvests.

As part of Hue Festival 2026, the “Royal Palace by Night” program offers a striking new perspective on the Hue Imperial Citadel after dark.
From the changing-of-the-guard ceremony at Noon Gate and the royal court ritual at Thai Hoa Palace to martial performances by Nguyen Dynasty soldiers and a 3D mapping show on Trung Dao Bridge, the imperial space is reimagined as both solemn and dreamlike. Light, sound, fire, lanterns, and choreographed performances weave together a new way of storytelling, one that not only showcases heritage architecture but also awakens it.
