Dong Thap with fertile soil is an agricultural province in the Mekong Delta. It is home to vast rice fields and lotus ponds.

Designs of eco-tourism sites and homestays in Dong Thap often make use of rice fields and lotus ponds to allow their guests to enjoy the gorgeous landmarks. Recently, the province hosted Dong Thap Lotus Festival 2022 as a way to promote its lotus planting industry and related tourism products. This is the first time the festival has been organized in the province. The following photos depict rice fields stretching to the horizon and big lotus ponds that offer eye-catching green views, and moments of the first Dong Thap Lotus Festival.
