HCMC – The Vietnamese Government will prioritize the development of rental housing, particularly apartment projects in major cities, industrial parks and key economic regions, while requiring local authorities to prepare cleared land and supporting infrastructure to attract private investment.

HCMC – The NovaWorld Phan Thiet project developed by local property firm Novaland in Binh Thuan Province has been featured at a session on the United Nations’ Centennial Initiative, part of the online Policy Lab, that took place from September 7 to 9 to explore ideas and strategies to arrive at an International Accord on Digital Rights.
The core concepts of the UN Centennial Initiative include the idea of a social contract for the Artificial Intelligence (AI) age, a framework for an AI international accord, an ecosystem for the AI World Society (AIWS) and a community innovation economy. Some of the ideas have already been put into practice, including the combination of the 1,000-hectare NovaWorld Phan Thiet project and an AIWS City, which is a virtual city dedicated to promoting the AIWS values and connecting scholars, innovators, leaders and citizens dedicated to fostering thought, creativity and ethical behavior. Professor David Silbersweig from the Harvard University said one of Vietnam’s contributions to the UN Centennial Initiative is building NovaWorld Phan Thiet as a leading destination for healthcare and wellness tourism in association with an AIWS City. Tran Dinh Thien, senior advisor to the Vietnamese prime minister, said Vietnam had abundant tourism resources. Of which, Phan Thiet City in Binh Thuan is a sea tourism hub with many advantages. It is home to multiple resorts and is connected to Nha Trang, Ninh Thuan, Vung Tau, HCMC and Dalat to create an attractive tourism region. Thien expressed his excitement to build the NovaWorld Phan Thiet City, which requires an investment of nearly US$5 billion, into a leading healthcare and wellness tourism destination, saying that NovaWorld Phan Thiet and AIWS City would become a model of the standards of the UN Centennial Initiative and the World Leadership Alliance-Club de Madrid. He called on world leaders, ideologists and innovators to Phan Thiet, to make suggestions on a contest to find out initiatives to make Phan Thiet a leading destination in the world for healthcare and wellness in accordance with new trends after the pandemic. He also expected to receive the initiatives and support from international communities and organizations specializing in AI and digital technology and UN’s agencies, thus helping promote the images of Phan Thiet City and the NovaWorld Phan Thiet project. Novaland has set a target to develop NovaWorld Phan Thiet into a special destination for living, relaxing and working in the century, contributing to improving Vietnam’s sea, MICE, healthcare and wellness tourism. The policy lab this year, sponsored by the Club de Madrid and Boston Global Forum, was expected to come up with new initiatives for the world. The Policy Dialogue of the World Leadership Alliance-Club de Madrid in 2023 will be organized at NovaWorld Phan Thiet.
