DANANG – The north central province of Quang Binh is calling for investment in 62 projects in the 2021-2023 period, covering a variety of fields, from tourism and agriculture to industry, energy, trade and infrastructure.
Twelve of the projects belong to the tourism sector, including ecotourism areas, high-class resorts, river tourism and nature tourism projects in all of the localities of the province. These projects will be presented at the Quang Binh Province Investment Promotion Conference themed “Quang Binh – safe and outstanding destination”, which will take place on January 16 and 17. The province will use the occasion to kick off the Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Plant project in the Hon La Economic Zone, Quang Trach District. Moreover, the province will grant investment decisions and minutes of investment collaboration to 34 projects worth some VND94.7 trillion (US$4.1 billion) and a total of 27 investors. Specifically, investment decisions will be given to 11 investors of 13 projects worth VND21 trillion, while 16 investors of 21 projects worth VND73.7 trillion will receive the minutes of investment collaboration. Ho An Phong, vice chairman of Quang Binh Province, said the conference will enable foreign and local organizations, businesses and investors to seek investment opportunities in the province, thus contributing to boosting the province’s post-Covid-19 recovery and sustainable socioeconomic development. The Quang Binh Province Investment Promotion Conference is also a chance for the province and investors to review their achievements as well as difficulties over the past two years, since the previous conference was held in 2018. Up to now, the province has attracted 150 projects worth some VND58 trillion.
