HCMC – The Saigon Times Group handed over 15 signposts, three information boards and a pyramid bearing basic information about Ta Dung National Park to the park’s management board on June 28.

The handover ceremony was held on the peak of Ta Dung Mount in the park, at the height of nearly 2,000 meters. The signposts were then installed by The Saigon Times Group, in collaboration with the park’s management board and the Dak Nong Province Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, to ensure it complies with the 2019 Law on Forestry and does not affect the park’s ecosystem. This was part of the “Saigon Times-Great Circle-Together with Vietnam’s Tourism” program, which aims to promote green tourism and raise public awareness about environmental protection. Funds for the signposts were donated by businesspeople and enterprises that are readers and partners of The Saigon Times Group. The Saigon Times Group also collaborated with the management board of Ta Dung National Park and the Dak Nong Province Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize a trek in the park on June 27 and 28. The event attracted more than 100 participants, who mainly came from the 2030 Businesspeople Club under The Saigon Times Group. They had a chance to conquer the Ta Dung Mount and a 14-kilometer-long trekking route through a village housing the Ma ethnic minority people and an evergreen forest. On June 28 evening, the organizer granted certificates to 70 participants for “successfully conquering Ta Dung Mount with a height of 1,982 meters”. Spanning over 20,000 hectares in Dak Som Commune of Dak Glong District, Ta Dung National Park is a famous ecotourism attraction in the Central Highlands. It has an abundant ecosystem with some 2,000 species of fauna and flora including rare orchids.
