“I first began reading The Saigon Times during my earlier posting at the Consulate-General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, from 1994 to 1998. Those were exciting times, with Vietnam opening up under the Doi Moi reforms and many Japanese companies were establishing their presence in southern Vietnam. As an officer responsible for economic affairs at the Consulate-General in those days, I found the up-to-date information The Saigon Times provided on Vietnam’s economy truly invaluable — and I am sure the Japanese business community here shared that sentiment.

HCMC – The Saigon Times, an English news site of the Saigon Times Group, has wrapped up its Saigon Times CSR 2022 program, with 40 enterprises chosen for being honored for their significant contributions to the society and the community.
Six months since this year's program started, around 100 businesses sent in their CSR stories to The Saigon Times. Some 60 of these stories from Vietnamese and foreign firms have been featured on The Saigon Times (english.thesaigontimes.vn) and and its sister online newspaper in Vietnamese, Kinh te Sai Gon Online (thesaigontimes.vn), within the Saigon Times CSR 2022 program. Of which, 40 companies with outstanding CSR practices have been selected to be honored at the Saigon Times CSR 2022 Merit Ceremony. The ceremony, which will also feature the “Investment for value” seminar, will be held at Caravelle Hotel Saigon in District 1, HCMC on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
