HCMC - Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street in downtown HCMC turned into a vibrant spectacle on the morning of March 8 – the International Women’s Day - as thousands of participants dressed in Ao dai joined a mass folk dance and parade through central thoroughfares.
This event is a key highlight of the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival 2026. Under the theme “The Golden Silk Thread – Weaving Aspirations,” the festival runs from March 1 to 31, with peak activities held between March 6 and 8 at iconic locations including Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street, the President Ho Chi Minh Statue Park, the Export Showroom at 92-96 Nguyen Hue Street, Metro Line 1 stations and various symbolic landmarks across the city.
