The video, titled ‘Song from a Secret Garden – Secret Garden in Vietnam,’ was released last Friday and features pianist and composer Rolf Løvland of Norway and Irish violinist Fionnuala Sherry performing their signature piece at several heritage sites in Ninh Binh, following the group’s concert in Hanoi in October last year.
The nearly-four-minute video opens with scenes of forests, rivers, rice fields, and limestone mountains.
The duo, wearing traditional Vietnamese ‘ao dai’ (long tunic), performed at locations including the Trang An complex, Cuc Phuong National Park, and Bich Dong Pagoda.

IB Group Vietnam representative Nguyen Thuy Duong said the production team conducted multiple site surveys in Ninh Binh to select suitable filming locations.
They used specialized equipment to place a high-value grand piano on a floating bamboo platform to meet the group’s technical requirements.
Rolf Løvland said in remarks released by the organizers that the time spent in Ninh Binh was a memorable experience for the group, marking a rare occasion when the piece was performed in such a natural setting.

Speaking at the launch event, Le Quoc Minh, editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan (People) newspaper, said audiences had seen Ninh Binh’s landscapes featured in Hollywood films but that the music video would offer a different emotional perspective on the destination.
Tran Song Tung, deputy chairman of the Ninh Binh People’s Committee, described the video as the most impressive promotional product about the province he had seen.
“It could evoke strong feelings of home for Vietnamese people living abroad during the Lunar New Year period,” Tung said.
The video is part of the ‘Good Morning Vietnam’ project, which aims to combine international music with Vietnamese cultural and tourism promotion, and has been shared by Secret Garden on their official social media platforms.
