Police in Lam Dong Province, located in Vietnam’s Central Highlands region, said on Tuesday that they had found a South Korean tourist two hours after he was reported missing on Lang Biang Mountain the day before.
Officers received a report at 7:00 pm on Monday that Song Mun Su, 71, had been separated from his 16-member tourist group and was unaccounted for while they were visiting the Lang Biang Mountain tourism area in Lac Duong District.
As local efforts to find Song failed, police officers of Lac Duong were dispatched to the site and expanded the search for the man to trails leading to the mountain’s Rada peak.
After two hours, the lost tourist was brought back in normal health and with some minor scratches on the hand.
The Lac Duong District police have warned tourists against exploring the forest surrounding Lang Biang Mountain without the company of tour guides or professional individuals.
