A-CDM has cut average taxiing times by 0.48 to 0.65 minutes per flight at Tan Son Nhat and reduced taxi-out times by nearly 1.5 minutes per flight at Noi Bai, according to Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), the operator of the country's civilian airports.
A-CDM enables airport operators, airlines, air traffic controllers, and ground service providers to share operational data and coordinate activities more effectively.
This allows stakeholders to manage aircraft stands, taxiways and departure schedules proactively, reducing the time aircraft spend waiting on the ground.
By improving the accuracy of departure forecasts and minimizing unnecessary delays, the model helps airlines lower fuel consumption while reducing emissions.
Operational efficiency has become increasingly important as air passenger traffic continues to grow.

Between January and September, airports managed by ACV handled 94.1 million passengers, up 8.6 percent year on year.
International passenger traffic reached 36 million, a year-on-year increase of 10.8 percent.
Air cargo throughput totaled 1.4 million metric tons during the nine-month period, up 9.8 percent year on year, while aircraft take-offs and landings exceeded 568,400 movements, representing a year-on-year increase of 7.1 percent.

ACV accelerates funding plans for key Long Thanh airport project
ACV is mobilizing resources to put Long Thanh International Airport in Dong Nai City, a neighbor of Ho Chi Minh City, into commercial operation in December.
The corporation on Monday met with three major Vietnamese banks, including Vietcombank, VietinBank and BIDV, to review credit conditions and agree on disbursement plans for the third component of the airport development.
ACV is the investor responsible for this component, which has a total investment of VND99.019 trillion ($3.8 billion).
The component covers essential infrastructure, including airfield facilities, aircraft aprons, the passenger terminal, the cargo terminal, and the fuel supply system.
Long Thanh International Airport is a national key project spanning about 5,000 hectares, with a total estimated investment of more than VND336.63 trillion ($13 billion).
Construction began in 2020, and the airport is being developed in three phases, making it the country’s largest aviation infrastructure undertaking to date.
Once fully completed, the airport will have a total capacity of up to 100 million passengers and five million metric tons of cargo per year.
